DIY! Pick n' Place Maintenance
MGS Aftermarket Services Manager, Russ, walks you through key points to check should you have problems with your IPP machine.
Video 1 of 3 - Vacuum Cups
If you are not getting a clean pick or clean drop with your IPP machine, the first thing to check is the vacuum cups. This simple part is vital to clean picking mechanics.
If a vacuum cup edge is frayed or torn, it will cause a small vacuum leak. This eventually leads to product placement failure.
Video 2 of 3 - Vacuum Filters and Lines
If you are not getting a clean pick or clean drop with your IPP machine, the next thing to check is your vacuum filter and vacuum lines. A dirty filter causes inconsistencies in vacuum suction - this inexpensive part should be replaced regularly.
Ensure all vacuum lines are free of debris, kinks and pinch points.
